Our in home dog training philosophy is simple. We teach your dog to be a well behaved family member. In many cases your dog's home environment is enabling bad behavior. Your dog's home is the most logical place for training. Our services are designed to make training fun for you and your dog.
I trained my first obedience dog through a junior high 4-H program and loved it. In 1983, I purchased my first show dog, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and trained and showed him in obedience and conformation. Naturally, it was hard to stop there, so I purchased a very high quality show dog who was trained, shown in conformation and bred.
I loved raising puppies in my home, knowing that they would get a great start in life. At the same time I was raising puppies and my own family, I had the opportunity to be involved with a couple of local kennel clubs and helped train classes for them. This gave me the opportunity to work with a diverse number of breeds of dogs and to work with mixed breeds and rescue dogs.
What those experiences taught me, is that dog training and problem solving is not “one size fits all.” Just as each individual dog learns differently, their owners also have many different goals and reasons for seeking training. In working with many different people and their dogs, I’ve learned that the quickest and best results come from finding the unique approach that works best for the individual dog and his owner.
Dog Training in Your Home embraces those unique qualities and makes training fun and easy for the dog and owner. My goal as a dog trainer is to be a catalyst for creating great relationships between dog owners and their dogs and to bring hope, and quick results, to those who feel frustrated or overwhelmed in living with their canine friends.
